5 - Easter bento

Easter Monday is a public holiday here in Australia, so my regular bento-making night was moved ahead by a day this week. In honour of the occasion, I decided to go a bit "cuter" than usual. On the bottom layer, shown on the left: a lemon-slice sun shining down on carrot and red capsicum flowers with coriander stems on a bed of sushi rice. On the top layer, shown on the right: Baby chick eggs hatching in shredded carrot and cabbage. Now, there is absolutely no way I could've come up with an idea like this myself, so I shall give credit where credit is due (thanks, Munkaya!). :-) Not pictured: my standard bowl of miso soup. I was so taken with last week's ramune that I wanted to buy it again this week. However, since that would violate my rule about trying every drink at Tokyo Mart and Jusco before repeating a purchase, I bought it for my husband's lunch instead ;-) I went with the pineapple soda.
